Euclid (circa 325BC - circa 265BC)

Euclid is the most famous mathematician of all time despite the fact that little is known of his life, except that he taught at Alexandria, Egypt.

He is known as the father of Geometry because he was the first person to write down many definitions which we still use today.

For example: There is a unique line joining any two points, and all right angles are equal.
